MORE than 800 senior citizens in Barangay Bulacao, Talisay City had each received P1,500 financial assistance from the City Government on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Bulacao barangay captain Banjo Abastillas said in an interview with SunStar Cebu that the quarterly financial assistance represented the months of April, May and June at P500 each month.

Abastillas said the cash distribution went smoothly as they already prepared the list of names of the beneficiaries in alphabetical order prior to the activity.

Berna Logronio, one of the beneficiaries, said she will use the assistance for the purchase of her maintenance medicines.

It only took her less than an hour to receive her assistance as she arrived at the distribution venue at Barangay Bulacao gym at 7 a.m. and went home before 9 a.m. after the distribution started at 8 a.m. (BBT, TPT)
