Passport on wheels extended until December at SM Seaside

Sunnexdesk

THERE is good news for those who want to renew their passports or apply for one: the Passport on Wheels (POW) program of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has been extended until December this year.

The DFA’s POW has been serving many people in Cebu since its launch on Feb. 4, 2019. The POW is on the upper ground floor of the Seaside Tower in SM Seaside City Cebu.

Guided by the DFA’s aim to serve more people, the agency opened several slots for individual or group appointments through online booking at www.passport.gov.ph/appointment. However, the DFA does not accept walk-in applicants.

Two POW vehicles were set up at SM Seaside City, aiming to cater to 1,200 applicants per day.

Applicants are encouraged to check out the DFA’s website as more appointment slots are open from June until December, Mondays to Saturdays. The slots open at 9 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. The extension of the POW’s appointment slots helps ease the operations of the DFA’s regional consular office in Mandaue City.
