Police offer 500 job openings in Central Visayas

THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas has opened its recruitment for 500 uniformed and more than 50 non-uniformed personnel (NUP).

PRO-Central Visayas Director Chief Supt. Debold Sinas said there are 300 slots for the regular recruitement, while 200 slots are allocated to replenish the ranks of police force here due to retirement, death, resignation and dismissal from service of several personnel.

Sinas said they are still accepting applicants from the region.

Ma. Dolores Quimilat, the PRO-Central Visayas's NUP supervisor, said there are two vacant NUP positions in Regional Personnel and Human Resources Development Division (RPHRDD); two in Regional Logistics and Research Development Division; one in Regional Comptroller Division; seven in Cebu City Police Office; two in Mandaue City Police Office; seven in Bohol Provincial Police Office; 21 in Cebu Provincial Police Office; 12 in Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office; and one in Siquijor Provincial Police Office.

Sinas said the applicants for vacant NUP slots from other provinces need not submit their papers in PRO-Central Visayas's headquarters in Cebu City.

RPHRDD Chief Jonathan Abella said some of the qualifications for the rank of Police Officer 1 are those who have a college degree, not more than 30 years old and must have good moral standing in the community. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
