Talisay City Central High School catches fire

FIVE classrooms and a stockroom of the Talisay City Central High School caught fire around 5 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019.

Fire Senior Inspector Arra Alpajaro, Talisay City fire marshall, said the fire alarm was received at 5:57 p.m.

The fire lasted for about 30 minutes and was declared under control at 6:25 p.m.

The fire was raised to Task Force Alpha, where fire trucks from the City of Naga to Consolacion rushed to help extinguish the fire.

No one was reportedly hurt in the incident.

Damage to property was estimated at P60,000.

Firefighters are still verifying reports that someone was burning garbage behind the stockroom. (From FMD/JGS)
