A 15-year-old boy was hurt after he intentionally jumped from the top of the flyover at Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City on Monday afternoon, Sept. 27, 2021.

Jonathan "Joy" Tumulak, City of Talisay Traffic Operations and Development Authority (CT-TODA) chief, told SunStar Cebu that they have yet to identify the boy's name.

Tumulak said around 2 p.m., the boy reportedly walked towards the top of the Tabunok flyover and suddenly jumped.

The boy, who landed head first, sustained multiple injuries.

CT-TODA enforcers, who were at the scene, immediately brought the boy to the Cebu South Medical Center in Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City.

Tumulak told SunStar Cebu that his personnel first saw the boy back in May this year.

The boy was found walking aimlessly in Tabunok.

The boy initially told CT-TODA enforcers that he left his house in Barangay Sinsin, Cebu City after he was reportedly abused by his stepfather.

Traffic enforcers initially turned the boy over to the Talisay City Social Welfare Office.

Tumulak said they were not able to determine how the boy left the City's care after that. (JKV)
