A WOMAN was burned to death by her former live-in partner while she was sleeping Monday night, March 22, 2021, in Sitio Crusher, Barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City.

The fire also burned down three houses.

According to the Talisay City Police, the suspect suffered second-degree burns. His body was on fire when he exited the house of the victim.

The woman was identified as Baby Mae Agner, 29, and the suspect as Dondon Labora, Agner’s former lover.

During the initial investigation, the police found out that Agner was living with her new live-in partner named Jay Demana, and her 11-year-old child. They were already asleep.

Labora allegedly stabbed Agner first. During the commotion, Demana grabbed the knife from Labora then ran out of the house with the child. Soon, neighbors saw a fire burning Agner’s house.

Labora was brought to the hospital for treatment. (REV/With NRC)
