A 44-YEAR-OLD woman with autism spectrum disorder passed away after being assaulted by her younger brother in Gentlepeace Subdivision, Barangay Lawaan, Talisay City at 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Lugela Geraldez Morales, the victim, succumbed to severe injuries in the head and body.

Their mother told the police that the altercation started when the victim's 42-year-old brother, Levan, single, and a fabricator, showed up intoxicated and struck Lugela’s shoulder.

Since she was in pain, the victim yelled at Levan and uttered hurtful words, which made the suspect angry.

The suspect pulled Lugela until she fell on the floor and repeatedly punched her in the face.

The suspect did not stop until his sister was no longer moving.

The relatives immediately called a medical team of Talisay City.

Lugela was rushed to the Talisay District Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced her dead.

The responding policemen arrested the suspect. (AYB, TPT)
