Tell it to SunStar: What about the seniors, PWDs?

IT SEEMS like officials think that all Sto. Niño devotees are young and healthy and can walk miles with no problem. No official has ever said or did something that will make our senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) comfortable when joining fiesta activities.

The only thing they can think of is to turn off the phone signals so that it will be difficult for us to communicate with one another.

We should remember the 99 percent of our responses to emergencies depend on our cell phones. We have had Sinulog celebrations for many years and many businesses were open in those times.

Now we are forcing them to shut down because they depend on phones to do business.

If anyone ever thought of setting off a bomb, he or she would just go to the internet and find there a thousand other ways to trigger bombs.

Wake up, people of Cebu. Why don’t authorities pour their efforts instead in solving our traffic problems? (Alfredo Acopan)
