11 footballers in Region 7 get into national team

A TOTAL of 11 footballers from Central Visayas have been named into the National Pool for Under-16/Under-17 and Under-19/Under-20 Girls Football squads.

The Central Visayas Football Association announced on its official Facebook page that Trizza Musni, Ma. Andrea Evangelista and Rae Mikella Tolentino were selected to the National Pool of the Under-19/Under-20 Girls team that will compete in two upcoming international tournaments.

If chosen into the squad, the trio will compete in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-19 Girls Championship on Nov. 16 to 28, 2021 in Indonesia and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-20 Women’s Asian Cup 2022 on Aug. 14 to 22, 2021.

On the other hand, Mish Tzishe Castañares, Jelena Loren Soon, Celina Beatrice Salazar, Maegan Alforque, Jodi Marie Banzon, Joshper Halili, Gwen Estrada, Maio Lubiano have all been chosen for the National Pool of the Under-16/Under-17 Girls squad.

The Philippine Under-16/Under-17 Girls team is slated to compete in the AFF Under-16 Girls Championship 2021 on Aug. 2 to 15, 2021 in Indonesia and in the AFC Under-17 Women’s Asian Cup 2022 Qualifiers on Sept. 18 to 26, 2021. (EKA)
