JAMES Bacon makes his US debut as he takes on journeyman Ramon dela Cruz Sena on March 13, 2020, at the Manual Artime Community Center Theater in Miami, Florida.

Bacon, a native of Mandaue City, looks to bounce back after losing his last fight, a unanimous decision defeat to Darragh Foley on Nov. 16, 2019 in Sydney, Australia.

After retiring from boxing in 2012, the 29-year-old Bacon, a former ALA Boy, made his ring comeback seven years later. He won a third round stoppage of Richard Betos on Feb. 13, 2019. He followed it up with two more wins—a first round knockout of Jovany Rota and a majority decision over Jose Ocampo.

The 33-year-old Sena is a very experienced fighter with over 50 pro fights. He is a former interim World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight champion after winning the belt with a ninth round knockout of Elias Leandro Vallejos in 2013.

Sena, however, is on a recent slump with just one win in six fights in 2019—a decision victory over Gustavo Damian Reales. He is coming off a disqualification loss to Josec Ruiz in his latest contest.

Bacon, who now trains at the Sanman Gym in Gen. Santos City, is 23-4 with 15 knockouts, while Sena is 23-27-3 with 13 knockouts. (EKA)
