Biason beats Dumlog in Talisay Cup

BIASONG dominated Dumlog, 109-70, in the Seniors division of the Talisay City Mayor’s Cup 2019 Inter Barangay Basketball Tournament on Sept. 3, 2019 at the Talisay Sports Complex.

Biasong did not waste time in asserting itself against Dumlog as they raced off to a 33-10 lead after the first canto to set the tone for the lopsided match.

Christopher Obeso led five different players in double-figures with 21 points while Roberto Hipona and Carlo Hernani added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Ian Cabanero chipped in 12 while June Labrica tallied 10.

In the Juniors division, Jaclupan came from behind to trip Maghaway in overtime, 85-77. Trailing by 13, 46-59, heading to the final canto, Jaclupan came alive in the fourth and outscored Maghaway, 25-12, in that stretch to tie the game at 71-all and send the game to overtime.

Jaclupan then dominated Maghaway in the extra session to emerge victorious.

Albert Cabiluna and Lee Delvo each had 16 points to pace Jaclupan.

Langtang also defeated Manipis, 71-58, behind Jhode Lasola’s 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, a block and an incredible seven steals. (JNP)
