BIT-IC trumps Holy Name University

THE BIT International College took apart the Holy Name University, 83-73, in the men’s basketball tournament of the Bohol Schools Athletic Association Season 9 at the Holy Name University Barder Gym in Tagbilaran City Wednesday night, September 11, 2019.

After a nip-and-tuck first half that saw BIT lead by just three, 36-33, BIT assumed full control of the game in the third where they outscored HNU, 24-14, to build a sizable advantage and cruise to the win.

Kaiser Dave Manlapat was BIT’s high-point man as he compiled 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals to carry the team to the winner’s circle. Marky Bual also played a key role as he tallied 16 points.

In the Juniors division, the Cristal e-College nipped the Mater Dei College, 65-63. Juhnedel Mijos paced Cristal with an all-around outing of 15 points, two rebounds, two assists, a block and four steals. (SunStar Cebu)
