CHRISTOPHER Caburog is all geared up for a tough six-round fight against fellow undefeated prospect Ian Abne in ARQ Boxing Promotions’ second boxing show “Engkwentro Dos” on Oct. 16, 2021 in Cebu.

“Caburog is ready. He didn’t rest (after his last fight) and continued his training,” Caburog’s trainer Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora told SunStar Cebu.

Caburog last saw action in “Engkwentro Uno” last June 19, wherein he walked away with a split decision over newcomer Arniel Cañete.

After the win, Caburog immediately went back to the Big Yellow Boxing Gym to train for his next fight.

Abne also fought in that same event and scored an impressive first round knockout of Marvin Campo in a rematch.

“This should be a great fight. Both Abne and Caburog are talented and tough fighters. Whoever’s the toughest wins this fight,” said Tepora.

Caburog is 2-0, while Abne is 2-0 with two knockouts.

The main event features, Abne’s older brother April Jay Abne (6-0, 4 KOs) taking on heavy-hitter Bienvenido Ligas (13-1-2, 9 KOs) for the vacant Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) Silver flyweight belt.

John Paul Gabunilas (4-1, 3 KOs) takes on unbeaten Jerome Baloro (6-0, 4 KOs) for the OPBF Youth light flyweight belt in the show’s co-main feature. (EKA)
