IN A stunning turn of events, Cebuano hoops star Macmac Tallo has found himself without a team to play for after he was released by the Bacolod Master Sardines in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

This was confirmed by the 25-year old who declined to go into the details of his ouster from the team other than say he had a “misunderstanding” with Bacolod head coach Vic Ycasiano.

“Siyempre, malungkot kasi lahat ng players dun sobrang napalapit na ako sa kanila. Pero ayun nga if it’s Gods will, susundin ko,” said the former two-time MVP of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) Picked 10th in the2017 PBA Draft by Talk N Text, Tallo has since gone on to play for NLEX for a couple of conferences before eventually getting released earlier this year.

He was picked by up by Bacolod, an expansion team in the MPBL, which he led to a 6-11 mark in the South division before his release last Monday.

Tallo also revealed that a number of MPBL teams have already shown their interest in getting him but said he will be making his decision very soon.(SunStar Cebu)
