THE Cristal e-College (CEC) dumped the BIT International College, 95-78, in the Bohol Schools Athletic Association Season 9 men’s basketball tournament at the University of Bohol gym on Monday, September 30, 2019.

Ryan Joy Asugan sparked CEC’s win with his fine play of 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

Asugan though, was not alone as four others scored in double-figures for CEC with Jancent Arcay putting up 18, Mark Quiachon adding 15, Paul Lorono tallying 12 and Gemar Lorejo adding 10 to augment CEC’s well-balanced offensive attack.

Alberto Alvarez put up 27 points but it was not enough to help BIT get the victory.

Meanwhile, in the high school division, the GreatMinds Leadership Academy (GLA) destroyed the Victoriano D. Tirol (VDT) Advanced Learning Center, 106-70.

It did not take long for GLA to assert itself in the match as they took a 54-32 lead at halftime to set the tone for the wholly one-sided match. John Philip Ponla scored 28 points to go with three assists, three rebounds and three steals while Kobe Naron finished with 19. Josh Cadungog had 15 markers while Allen Almonical also helped out with with his 12 points. (SunStar Cebu)
