THE Lions, Panthers and Rams booted out their respective foes in the knockout quarterfinals of the Elite Basketball Club-Cebu Season 13 at the Visayas Glass Gym in Guadalupe, Cebu City.

Jefford Aldave and Jon Chua combined for 35 points to lead the Lions to an 85-79 win over the Stallions. Sam Cadavos and Rob Abayon added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

The Lions were on a tear in the opening quarter as they rushed to a 26-12 lead before the lead ballooned to 46-28 at the half.

Meanwhile, the Panthers, a former champion, put up a convincing 114-83 win over the Wolves. The Panthers had balanced scoring with seven players ending up with double figures.

Prince Panes scored 24, Neil Buot added 19, Mhel Abella handed 17, Stephen Sanchez had 13, Kyle Co finished with 12, Mark Panerio contributed 11 and Daryll Eugenio added 10.

Meanwhile, Sam Hermosa exploded with 35 points to lift Rams to 88-79 victory over Tigers. Harmsway Molina added 17 and Mark Lubiano poured in 12 for the winning team.

The Panters takes on teh Eagles, while the Lions faces the Rams in the semifinals on Jan. 25 at the Visayan Glass Gym, (RSC)
