YOUNG Pinoy pug Adrian Lerasan challenges World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council (ABC) flyweight champion Thananchai Charunphak on May 1, 2021 at the Workpoint Sudio in Bang Phun, Thailand.

The 22-year-old Lerasan is coming off a huge win in Thailand in 2020. He stopped previously unbeaten Thai prospect Tanes Ongjunta in the eighth round to win the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia super flyweight strap in Bangkok on March 1, 2020. He’s on a two-fight winning streak.

Lerasan has fought the likes of Dave Apolinario, Ronel Sumalpong and Jerven Mama.

The 20-year-old Charunphak, on the other hand, won his WBC ABC flyweight belt with a ninth round technical knockout of former world champion Suriyan Satorn on March 7, 2020. After winning two tune-up bouts, Charunphak successfully defended his belt with a fourth round knockout of former world title challenger Wicha Phulaikhao on Nov. 7, 2020. He also owns a win over one-time world title contender Wittawas Basapean.

Lerasan is 9-4 with two knockouts, while Charunphak is 11-1 with nine knockouts. (EKA)
