Rasenta Builders boot out Kevlo in Duterte Basketball League

The Rasenta Builders gave the previously undefeated Kevlo the boot with a 71-54 win in the quarterfinals of the Duterte Basketball League Cebu last Sunday at the Capitol Parish Gym.

Big man Tawee Cañedo anchored Rasenta’s attack on both ends of the floor as he finished with 15 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

The Rasenta Builders will next face TSO in the semifinal round after the latter defeated Angel Mary Pawnshop, 69-61. Guard Danilo Contado tallied 13 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals to help TSO clinch a spot in the Final Four.

The other semifinal showdown will feature SMCCO against Wheeltek after they disposed of their respective opponents. SMCCO crushed the CIA, 64-44, as Jan Javellana shone with 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Wheeltek, on the other hand, annihilated the Unicorns, 77-47. Carlo Velayo was the team’s high-point-man with 16 markers and four boards.
