Six teams compete in Edgardo C. Labella 1st Charter Cup Basketball Tournament

SIX teams will be competing for pride and a whopping cash prize in the Mayor Edgardo C. Labella 1st Charter Cup Basketball Tournament on February 18, 2020, at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

Organized by the Cebu City Government in cooperation with the Cebu City Sports Commission, this six-team tournament brings together some of the region’s finest basketball players in a race to snatch the title and the P150,000 cash prize that comes along with it.

Opening the hostilities on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. will be the game between ASPA and Kiboy’s. This will be followed by the game between LM Paragsa and Fighter Wine-University of Cebu at 7 p.m. The nightcap at 8:30 p.m. will see the ARQ Builders taking on the Athalia One on One.

The teams will play a single round-robin with the top four advancing to the semifinal round. The winners there will advance to the winner-take-all championship game.

The first runner-up will bag P100,000 while the second and third runners-up will take home P50,000 and P25,000, respectively. The fifth and sixth placers will be given P10,000 each.
