Suarez TKO’s Canada in Urdaneta

OLYMPIAN Charly Suarez remained perfect in the pro ranks after an impressive technical knockout victory over Pablito Canada on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at the Urdaneta Cultural Sports Complex in Urdaneta City.

Suarez was clearly the more superior fighter as he showcased his quick hands and devastating power.

Suarez swarmed Canada with some vicious combinations that seemed to hurt the veteran.

The 32-year-old Suarez rocked Canada with an array of punches in the third round but the latter held on.

In the fourth, Suarez hurt Canada with a left uppercut. He followed it up with a barrage of punches that forced Canada to quit in the 2:44 mark in the fourth round.

Suarez remained unbeaten with 6-0 with five knockouts, while Canada dropped to 7-19-4 with a knockout.

In the undercard, Richard Pumicpic (22-11-2, 7 KOs) stopped Landy Cris Leon (13-22-2, 6 KOs) in the sixth round, Arnel Baconaje (12-4, 10 KOs) destroyed Jay Lloyd Quidlat (4-2-2, 2 KOs) in two rounds, Lorenz Ladrada (9-1-1, 3 KOs) scored a fifth round technical knockout over Marklin Itim (2-5), Roy Sumugat (11-11-1, 4 KOs) needed a single round to stop Eljohn Evangilista (4-4, 1 KO), Franco Serafica (5-1, 3 KOs) stopped Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-7, 1 KO) in four rounds and Jover Amistoso (2-0) beat Noli James Maquilan (0-1) by unanimous decision.
