Villamor vs. Juario headlines Villamor Boxing Gym amateur show

PALARONG Pambansa VisMin Cup silver medalist AJ Ala Villamor headlines the amateur boxing show promoted by Villamor Boxing Gym and PMI Boxing on March 19, 2023 at the Villamor Boxing Gym in Mandaue City.

AJ slugs it out with Lapu-Lapu City’s Arjun Juario in the show’s main event.

AJ settled for a silver in last year’s VisMin Cup after losing to Cagayan de Oro’s Sherwin Villanueva by split decision in the school boys flyweight finals.

Both AJ and Juario are preparing for the upcoming Central Visayas Schools Athletic Association (CVRAA) boxing event.

“This is an activity fight for them for the incoming CVRAA on the third week of April and compete for a spot in the Palarong Pambansa,” AJ’s father and coach Edito Villamor told SunStar Cebu.

In the undercard, Toledo City’s Jofel Barcoma locks horns with Cebu City’s Jemar Codoy, Dumaguete City’s Carl Penedo squares off with Steffen Siaton of Lapu-Lapu City, Gio Pesores of Carcar City takes on Sarok Boxing Gym’s Christian Monilar, Justine Balbarino of Mandaue City is up against Juramil Cataraja of Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City’s Fredrich Locsin slugs it out with Vic Segara of Lapu-Lapu City, and Stefen Bernales of Lapu-Lapu City is fighting Ken Villanueva.

Additionally, Sarok Boxing Gym’s Ejay Batiancila faces off with Lapu-Lapu City’s Jude Responso, Lapu-Lapu City’s Dave Camillo exchanges blows with Rodel Tillor of the Sarok Boxing Gym, Renz Arvin Pepito faces fellow Mandauenon Yancy Estorba, Kent Jalandoni of Mandaue City takes on Cebu City’s John Mendoza, Lester Tagalog of the Sarok Boxing Gym clashes with Yumyum Gonzales, Charlie Simbajon of Mandaue City battles Jhunmar Codeniera of Cebu City and Reymund Comendador of the Sarok Boxing Gym opens up the show against Darryl Opura of Cebu City.
