Sunnexdesk

OUR skin craves nature. No matter how popular chemical-based, laboratory-made skincare products are, it cannot be denied that natural oils are a lot safer and sometimes even more effective than synthetic products. There are many facial oils that can respond to our skin's daily needs, for all skin types, and for different skin problems.

Tea tree oil for acne

Tea tree oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help heal and prevent acne. It also has antibacterial properties ideal for cleansing, deodorizing, and neutralizing body odors. Tea tree oil can also be inhaled to treat coughs. To use, tea tree oil should be diluted in carrier oils such as olive oil. Depending on the brand and product used, tea tree oil can be applied on the whole face or for spot healing.

Jojoba oil for oily skin

Jojoba oil mimics the skin's sebum which moisturizes and repairs the skin. Some conditions cause dryness in skin and scalp which makes the skin overproduce sebum, leading to oily skin and dandruff. Jojoba oil will restore moisture and balance the skin's oil production, resulting to less oily skin. It can also be used on the scalp to treat dandruff. It's ideal for nighttime use.

Rosehip oil for scars

Rosehip oil is extracted from the seeds of a wild rose bush. It has moisturizing, exfoliating, and brightening properties. It lightens pimple scars, dark marks, sunspots, and stretch marks. It also brightens the skin and helps heal acne faster. It can be used at night and in the morning. Add a few drops into your moisturizer, or use beneath your sunscreen.

Castor oil as moisturizer

Castor oil is good for both the skin and hair. It moisturizes skin, heals acne, lighten dark spots, and prevent skin ageing. Castor oil also speeds up hair growth on lashes, brows, and on the head. Use fingers or brush for application.

Carrotseed oil as sunscreen

Carrotseed oil has SPF40, which is a healthier alternative to chemical-based sunscreens. It's also rich in vitamins C and E which brighten and repair skin. Carrotseed oil also helps clear acne breakouts and blemishes.

Grapeseed oil to reduce wrinkles

Grapeseed oil is known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. It helps reduce wrinkles, enhance skin elasticity, and moisturizes and hydrates skin. It has vitamin E and linoleic acid, which clears acne breakouts.
