Baby, mother hit by fallen durian

COTABATO CITY -- A 23-day-old baby is in a critical condition after being hit by a durian that fell into their nipa hut last Thursday, August 8.

The baby’s mother – Janna, a resident of Malabang, Lanao del Sur, who was also injured by fallen durians narrated that they were taking a rest inside their hut when a strong wind shook the durian tree near their house causing two durian fruits to fall.

One durian fruit fell on her back while the other hit her baby’s head.

She rushed her baby to Malabang District Hospital but were later transferred to Ozamiz City Hospital due to critical condition.

The family is calling for donation and financial help for the successful operation of the baby.
