SOME 3,000 participants will join the Couples for Christ’s (CFC) Global walk on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Davao City.

The event is part of the organization’s support to unprivileged students carrying the theme “One Nation Walks for Education"

.

“It is a global walk because it will be a simultaneous activity all around the world,” Benedict Mejorada, CFC event head, said, adding that the event was also organized by the Answering the Cry of the Poor (Ancop) Program of CFC as an annual activity in major cities around the world.

“Expected participants in the country and outside are 10,000," he said.

CFC has over 100 scholars in Davao City.

“Adunay mga estudyante karon na dili makapasok sa state privileges, so we are trying to give opportunity to those underprivileged students to give scholarship for them (We give scholarships to underprivileged students who are not entitled to state privileges),” Mejorada said.

“It is our hope that with every year, more participants can join, so that we can have more scholars,” he added.

Registration fee is P200.

The walk will start at 5 a.m. at Matina Town Square (MTS).
