Davao City Police Office bags 8 awards

THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) took home eight awards during the 117th PNP Service Anniversary and Turnover of Command Ceremony held at Police Regional Office 11, Camp Quintin Merecido, Catitipan, Davao City on Thursday, August 16.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Director General Oscar Albayalde led the giving of awards to the units and policemen who excel in the service.

DCPO bagged the Best City Police Office Nationwide, Best City Mobile Force Company Nationwide and Best Women and Children Protection Desk Regionwide, among others.

DCPO director Police Senior Superintendent Alexander C. Tagum was hailed as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations Regionwide; Police Chief Inspector (PCI) Nolan Raquid as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations Regionwide; and Senior Police Officer (SPO1) Rizalito Clapiz III for Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operations Regionwide.

Albayalde reminded the policemen in Davao Region not to be complacent but continue their proactive campaign against illegal drugs, criminality, terrorism, insurgency and erring cops, and uphold the high level of discipline that Davao cops are known for.
