3rd Addu rapid chess tourney, Sunday

THE 3rd Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) Rapid Individual Chess Tournament will get underway on Sunday, January 20, at the Addu Jacinto conference room.

Players, according to an event post via APM Mindanao Chessmates Facebook page, must be 13 to 23 years old and must be a student for school year 2018 and 2019.

Registration fee is P150 for non-Ateneo students and P100 for Ateneo players.

Free lunch will be given to participants in the one-day tournament whose tournament director is Ariel Niño Aton.

Cash prizes await winners with the champion bagging P1,200 and a trophy while the runner-up will pocket P800 and a medal. The third placer will settle for P500 and a medal even as the best female player will claim P300 and a medal.
