Addu tracksters shine in Dacs 2019

HOST tracksters outshone rivals at the close of the Dacs Sportsfest 2019 athletics competition held recently at the Fr. Martinez Sports Center Track Oval, Ateneo de Davao University (Addu), Matina, Davao City.

The Addu Blue Knights hauled a total of 29 gold medals, 23 silvers and eight bronzes in both elementary and secondary divisions to rule the annual trackfest that serves as qualifying for the Davao City Athletic Association (Dcaa) Meet 2019.

Louis Guino and Shaina Joy Anabieza led the Blue Knights domination. Guino pocketed four golds in secondary boys 200-meter and 400m. He also helped the team win the 4X100m and 4X300m relay golds.

Anabieza, for her part, topped the secondary girls 100m and 200m then she also contributed to Ateneo’ s golden finishes in 4X100m and 4X300m relay events.

Philippine Women’ s College (PWC) landed at distant second having collected four golds, four silvers and five bronzes while Anthony and Mark Cavanis Elementary School placed third with a 3-8-6 medal haul.

The Our Lady of Fatima, Inc. trailed with 1-3-4 followed by 1-1-4 Holy Cross of Calinan, 1-0-2 Holy Cross of Babak and 0-1-3 Holy Cross of Bunawan.

Addu also ruled swimming, volleyball, chess, basketball, football and futsal, among others.
