The first of the six-leg series of the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Games this year will kick off in Bukidnon next month.

This was bared Tuesday, April 9, by Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) commissioner Charles Raymond A. Maxey during a press conference at PSC Mindanao office, Davao Association of Catholic Schools (Dacs) compound, at Juna Subdivision in Matina, Davao City.

He said, "As follow up to the series of IP Games held last year and directed by the Chairman to make sports available to all Filipinos, we will have six legs this year including Davao City, Bukidnon, Agusan, Zambales, Aurora and Puerto Princesa.”

Some 2,500 participants benefited from the inaugural year of the IP Games in Davao del Norte, South Cotabato, Ifugao and Benguet in 2018.

He said they are coordinating with the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) and they will soon sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to be signed by PSC chairman Ramirez and the NCIP national head to strengthen the program.
