THE Picpa Rapid Chess Tournament will unfurl on July 14 at the Damosa Market Basket in Lanang, Davao City.

The tournament, exclusive for members of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Picpa) and Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), stakes cash prizes to the winners.

National arbiter Jojo Palero said the champion will receive P2,000, while the runner-up will pocket P1,000 and the third placer will take home P500.

However, he said prized may increase depending on the turnout of participants.

Registration will start at 11 a.m., while games will start at 1 p.m.
