THE St. Paul College of Davao (SPCD) and Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) clinched gold medals in the recently-concluded Davao Association of Catholic Schools (Dacs) 2018 Sportsfest football competition at the Tionko field along Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City.

SPCD crushed Addu, 6-0, in the elementary boys championship match. Both teams arranged a titular match for grabbing the first two places in the eliminations.

The Holy Cross College of Calinan finished third in the tournament officiated by the Davao Region Football Association (DRFA).

Coached by Jhaynor Regua, SPCD was composed of Kensuke Azares, Joerby Anito, Gabriel Angelo Bacani, Reinier Camangeg, Rainleaf Concha, Karlos Daniel Donado, Ragael Gaid III, Justin Dane, Guirgen, Raingel Lapeña, Kian Terrence Niu, Sean Dominic Robles, Skye Damien Robles, Joaquin Jose Suarez, Chaelli Tabudlong, Oliver Villena II and Marc Aldrich Yangson.

Meanwhile, Ateneo bounced back by topping the secondary boys division after routing Gabriel Taborin College of Davao (GTCD), 12-0, in their finals clash. Ateneo led bracket A while GTCD ruled bracket B with identical six points to set up the gold medal clash.
