MORE than 1,600 traffic violations were posted for a month of implementation of Traffic Discipline Zone (TDZ) along 14-kilometer Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue or Diversion Road in Mandurriao district.

Public Safety Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) head Jeck Conlu appealed to the people to obey traffic rules and regulations at all times.

"In one month of implementation of Traffic Discipline Zone, our assessment was that there were many violations committed. Our data recorded 1,600 plus apprehended violations in the area," Conlu said.

"At TDZ, both commuters and drivers are our focus for discipline. Our goal is to create new generations of law-abiding drivers and commuters in the city. Let us follow the laws for our safety and comfort," he said.
