Aklan records new Covid-19 case

KALIBO -- The province of Aklan recorded another case of coronanvirus disease (Covid-19), said the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

It said the new patient is a 23-year-old female who came from Cebu and arrived in Aklan last June 11.

The new case brought the province's total count to 13.

The other cases involved residents who were repatriated from Manila.

"The female [patient is ] a resident of Poblacion, Kalibo and is one of the 35 cases of Covid-19 in Western Visayas," said Dr. Victor Sta. Maria, Provincial Health Officer 2, in a statement.
