Dinagyang murals showcase districts' bests

THE first ever JCI Iloilo Dinagyang Mural Painting Competition, Pinta sa Kapiestahan, unveiled the masterpieces of seven groups of Ilonggo artists.

The artworks showcase the bests of districts of Arevalo, City Proper, Jaro, La Paz, Lapuz, Mandurriao and Molo, which the teams represent.

The members include:

* Arevalo's Team Palladium - Guian Jay Fernandez, Bernadette Camino, Joshua Celestial, Claire Sta Ana, John, Ernest Alvarez, Phrincess Ahpser Reighle Centeno, and Nowell Jhon Tolosa.

* City Proper's Team Padayon - Azl Belanio, John Mark Gumban, Word Ronel Morales, and Christian Dave Moises.

* Jaro's Team Kudlit - Kyle Francis Dile, Kristina Celis, Rafael Kyle Pones, Theodore Jess Lachica-Pet, Kristoffer Jan Sobremente, and Sam Oliver Nacion.

* La Paz's Team Abyan - Kirby G. Majaque , Jacob Bravo, Juliene Carbolico, Kenna Jean Tulio, Kenno Johnly Tulio, Julliana Marie Pudadera, and Jaspier Catalan.

* Lapuz's Team Meraki - Bryan Caoyonan, Christian Jude Blando, Carmelo Camohoy III, Jodi Marie Maculada, Raven Alexander Jasper Almira, Michelle Angela Gabion, and Edzyl Improgo.

* Mandurriao's Team Molohanon - Kevin Ilagan, Jan Carlo Buenaflor, Ian Paul Sarasa, Khail Fermiza, and Chan Rodriguez.

* Molo's Team Tinta - Jemmuel Guyo Guillermo, Kaye Nielbert Buenaflor, Keven Kean Fama, Alessia Arevalo, and Joshua Louie De la Torre.

The public may see the murals at Shops at Atria parking area beside the Metro Supermarket entrance.

Winners will be announced during Dinagyang Awards Night on January 24. (PR)
