THE Provincial Government of Guimaras has modified the travel protocols for returning locally stranded individuals (LSIs), returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs) and visiting persons coming from outside Western Visayas.

Governor Samuel Gumarin issued Executive Order 27, series of 2021, adopting the new travel protocol for all returning and visiting persons whose place of origin is outside the region.

ROFs, LSIs and visiting persons are required to present a negative RT-PCR test result before they can enter the province.

The test must be conducted three days before the date of travel of returning or visiting persons.

Returning or visiting persons who fail to present a negative RT-PCR result shall be allowed entry into Guimaras if they have stayed within the region for at least 14 days.

Expenses for the RT-PCR shall be paid by ROFs, LSIs and visiting persons.

Those who have illegally entered Guimaras coming from outside Western Visayas will face charges and will be sent back outside the province, said the Provincial Government. (PR)
