ILOILO City Government's priority amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic is to set up its own Covid laboratory and hospital, said Mayor Jerry Treñas.

Both facilities will be built at the two-hectare lot in Barangay San Pedro in Molo district.

The Covid Lab and Dormitory is now under construction.

A 2,000-square-meter space will be allocated for the city's 50-bed capacity hospital.

Other facilities to look forward to will be an evacuation center and a regional warehouse, said the mayor.

"It will be great since all the institutional requirements for health will soon be set up in one area," Treñas said. (PR)
