Seashells on Boracay shore

Sunnexdesk

RESIDENTS of Boracay Island were surprised to find a lot of seashells scattered along the beach line Sunday afternoon, May 24.

Marine biologist Haron Deo Vargas said he collected samples for a study, adding the shells are not endemic to Boracay.

Vargas believes the seashells came from the nearby pontoon and some predators hunted for it, while some residents said the habagat season may have brought the shells ashore. (Jun Aguirre)
