14 hurt after bus rams restroom in Luzon

AT LEAST 14 people were hurt after a bus crashed into a restroom of the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) tollway sub-office on Monday, May 14, a police official said.

Superintendent Chitadel Gaoiran, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), said the bus carrying 45 passengers bound for Quezon City crashed into the facility around 5:30 a.m. Monday after its driver, identified as Marlon Antenor, fell asleep.

Among the injured persons were Antenor, the bus conductor and 12 passengers.

They were brought to Metro Lipa Hospital and Mary Mediatrix Medical Center in Batangas for treatment. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo/SunStar Philippines)
