Marcos renominates Nograles as CSC chairman

Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo

INCOMING President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed outgoing Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello as the chairperson of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office.

Marcos also wants former Cabinet secretary Karlo Nograles to stay in the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Nograles as the chairman of the CSC in March.

Nograles, however, failed to get the approval of the Commission on Appointments (CA).

Officials needed the approval of the CA in order to keep their posts for a fixed seven-year term. (SunStar Philippines)
