Palace brags of Duterte's accomplishments in 2018

WITH less than 24 hours before 2018 ends, Malacañang on Monday, December 31, bragged about President Rodrigo Duterte's "strong and decisive" leadership which has advanced the nation's interests and people's concerns this year.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, in a yearend report released on Monday, listed the following as Duterte's accomplishments:

  • Return of the historic Balangiga bells to the Philippines;
  • Declaration of the Philippine Rise as a Marine Resource Reserve;
  • Signing of a memorandum of agreement between the Philippines and Kuwait to protect overseas Filipino workers (OFWs); and
  • Reopening of the world famous destination Boracay Island after six months of rehabilitation.
