THE Philippine National Police (PNP) released on Monday, March 27, 2023, the facial composite sketch of one of the persons behind the killing of San Miguel, Bulacan police chief Lieutenant Colonel Marlon Serna.

PNP spokesperson Colonel Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing that the sketch was based on the description of a store owner whom the gunmen tried to rob.

“Nakilala po nitong isa sa mga biktima dahil siya po mismo ang nakipagbuno dito sa suspect na ito and in fact, nataga nga po niya ito sa ulo kaya yun din ang naging lead nitong mga pulis natin during the hot pursuit operation, nakasalubong mismo nung hepe itong riding-in-tandem at nakita nga po nila itong back-ride ay duguan,” said Fajardo.

Based on the composite sketch by police, the suspect was described as around 5’3” to 5’4” in height, around 35 years old and with brown complexion.

The robbery prompted Serna’s team to conduct an operation that resulted in his death.

Fajardo said the reward to anyone who could provide information and help arrest the persons behind Serna’s death was already increased to P1.2 million.

She said the pictures of the motorcycles used by the gunmen are now being enhanced to determine the plate numbers. (SunStar Philippines)
