Retired cop on Duterte drug list abducted

A RETIRED police officer on President Rodrigo Duterte's drug list has reportedly been abducted in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

An initial report from Police Brigadier General John Bulalacao, Western Visayas Police regional director, said retired Police major Lito Pirote was taken by three armed men from Metro Inn Hotel in Bacolod at about 11 a.m. Friday, April 19.

The perpetrators were on board a white van with plate number YS4514. The van headed north after abducting Pirote.

Pirote was formerly assigned at the Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PNP-AIDSOTG).

He is on Duterte's drug list, along with dismissed police officer Eduardo Acierto. (TAPM/MVI/SunStar Philippines)
