'Tisoy' continues to weaken, now off the coast of Occidental Mindoro

TYPHOON Tisoy (Kammuri) continues to weaken while moving west of the country, said the state weather bureau Tuesday afternoon, December 3.

As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, its center was located off the coast of Occidental Mindoro or approximately 110 kilometers northwest of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, packing maximum winds of up to 130 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gusts up to 200 km/h.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has lifted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) over Masbate including Ticao Island, Benguet, La Union, Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Capiz, Iloilo, southern Isabela and the rest of Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aklan, Samar, Northern Samar, and Antique.

But TWCS Number 3 is still hoisted over Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, and Batangas.

TCWS Number 2 is up in Romblon, Camarines Norte, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Rizal, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Zambales, Marinduque, Cavite, and Laguna, the northern portion of Camarines Sur (Cabugao, Libmanan, Pamplona, Pasacao, Sipocot, Lupi, Ragay, Del Gallego), southern Nueva Ecija (Cabanatuan City, Cabiao, Gabaldon, Gapan City, General Tinio, Jaen, Laur, Palayan City, Peñaranda, San Antonio, San Isidro, San Leonardo, Santa Rosa, Aliaga, Licab, Zaragoza), southern Aurora (Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, Baler, San Luis, Dingalan), and Calamian Islands (Coron, Busuanga, Culion, Linapacan).

Areas under TCWS Number 1 are the southern portion of Quirino (Nagtipunan), the rest of Aurora, the northern portion of Palawan (El Nido, Taytay, Araceli, Dumaran), the rest of Camarines Sur, Cuyo Islands (Cuyo, Magsaysay, Agutaya), Pangasinan, the southern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Alfonso Castaneda, Aritao, Dupax Del Norte, Dupax Del Sur, Kasibu, Santa Fe), Burias Island, and the rest of Nueva Ecija, northen Aklan (Malay, Buruanga, Nabas, Ibajay), and northern Antique (Caluya, Libertad, Pandan).
