CATBALOGAN CITY -- The Philippine National Police recovered two bodies in two municipalities in Northern Samar province on Thursday, December 15.

Police Senior Superintendent Ceasar Zafiro Tannagan, acting provincial director of Northern Samar Police Provincial Office, said the two bodies were found in San Isidro and San Vicente towns.

Initial investigation showed that the two died due to drowning.

The first cadaver was identified by police as that of certain Eduardo Caraoa, alias “Eddie,” 59, married, farmer and resident of Barangay New Ilocos, Magsaysay, Davao Del Sur.

Caraoa was positively identified by his cousin Angel Guira after barangay chairman Mervin Mondigo reported about his body seen floating off the coast of Barangay Alegria in San Isidro.

Guira told police investigator Senior Police Officer 2 Noel Castillo that his cousin was missing since they made a dock at San Isidro Fast Cat Ferry Terminal in Barangay Salvacion of said municipality.

“I just left him for a while when I proceeded to take a pee. When I returned, he’s no longer in the area,” Guira told police.

He narrated that his cousin has epilepsy.

In San Vicente town, the police recovered the body of fisherman Tommy Dublin, 48, married, a resident of Sitio Baras, Barangay Maragat.

The victim, who is suspected to be drunk, reportedly drowned. His body was found in the shorelines of Sitio Lungib.

The police dismissed earlier reports that they was foul play involved. (Sunnex)
