3 bodies recovered from 2 Davao rivers

THE bodies of three people, including a two-year-old girl, were found in two rivers in Davao City last Saturday. They were believed to have drowned.

The bodies of Pedila Takyawan Agao, 49, and her Devine Grace Millena, 2, were recovered from the Masawang River in Marilog District.

Police said the two drowned while crossing the river on foot.

Earlier, a dead man was found in the Suawan River in Barangay Tamugan, another possible drowning victim.

The man, who remains unidentified, was in his 40s, five-foot-five, brown skinned completion and medium built.

Police said a witness, Jongee Artatis, 32, saw the body near the river bank while he was on his way to work. (KRP)
