Abandoned kids join I Love Run event

SOME 100 abandoned children will join the first edition of I Love Run! Born From the Heart at the Axis Courtyard, Vibo Place in Escario today. The running event has more than 500 runners in the men’s and women’s 10-kilometer, 5K and 3K categories. The children will be running in the separate 3K Kiddie Dash category. “We expect 100 abandoned from different centers to participate in the race,” said one of the organizers Kenneth Casquejo. The run is organized by Central Visayas Adoptive Parents Association (Cvapa) for the benefit of abandoned children. The event also kicks start the activities for the Adoption Consciousness Week on Feb. 11 to 18. The finishers in the 10K and 5K will receive a medal, while certificate for the 3K and 3K Kiddie Dash. Cash prizes will also be given to the winners in the 10K and 5K.
