RESCUERS recovered on Friday one more body from the wreckage of M/V Catalyn B off the coast of Cavite province, raising the number of fatalities to 11.

The body was recovered Friday morning by search and rescue teams from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), dzMM Teleradyo reported.

Last Wednesday, four bodies, including that of a baby, were recovered by PCG divers during retrieval operations for the missing passengers of the ill-fated ferry.

Catalyn B was lying 221 feet below the surface off the waters of Limbones Island in Cavite.

The wooden-hulled passenger vessel, owned by San Nicolas Shipping Lines, sank following a collision with the metal-hulled fishing vessel Anatalya off Limbones Island in Cavite just before dawn on December 24, 2009.

At least 18 more bodies are missing, according to the PCG. (ABC/Sunnex)
