BSP releases yearend report

THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has released its 2017 yearend report on its financial inclusion work and achievements in the areas of policy and regulations, stakeholder partnerships and advocacies, financial education and consumer protection, as well as international engagements and thought leadership.

The initiatives have contributed to greater financial inclusion, evidenced by increased financial access points and use of products and services such as savings and loans.

The initiatives in the report have also laid out the necessary foundation to maximize the use of technological innovations to expand and deepen the use of financial products and services.

The financial inclusion work of the BSP continues to be internationally recognized by the Global Microscope of the Economist Intelligence Unit, where the Philippines is identified as top country in Asia and third in the world with the most conducive environment for financial inclusion for three consecutive years.
