Bukas-kotse, salisi gangs strike

AN EMPLOYEE of Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines was hit by the 'bukas-kotse' gang at around 8:20 p.m. Saturday along Sto. Nino Stop, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

Norman Viñarta, 46, account specialist of Coca-Cola, and resident of Madia-as Street, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, and his 39 year old helper were victimized by a 'bukas-kotse' gang while they were collecting payments from their customers at Sto. Nino Stop, Barangay 2.

When they returned, they discovered that the door of their multicab vehicle bearing plate number VFB 453 was forcibly opened by unidentified persons who took away the cash amounting to approximately P3,130 inside the vehicle.

On the other hand, Vangie Firmeza, 36, of Murcia, Negros Occidental, reported that at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, while she was cleaning their dental clinic at 2nd Floor Foodman Building, Lacson Street, she discovered that her bag, which she originally placed on the sofa, was already in the stairs of the building.

When she checked her bag, several items were already missing, including two check books, ATM's and other important documents.
