CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- A collector-delivery man of a private company situated in this capital city was arrested by elements of the San Fernando police for alleged multiple counts of qualified theft.

The suspect identified as Kevin Manarang, 26, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Christine Marie Capule of the Regional Trial Court Branch 48 in this city for 140 counts Qualified Theft under Criminal Case No. 25247 to 25387.

According to city police Chief Superintendent Roland Agohob, Manarang was an employee of Silk-Pro Marketing Corporation as collector delivery last year based in Barangay Sindalan and also selling beauty soaps.

However, instead of remitting income from buyers, Agohob said that Manarag allegedly used it for personal gain particularly in betting at coockfighting.

Agohob added that Manarang allegedly accumulated an unremitted amount of more than half million pesos.

Manarang is now in the custody of the city police and can post a bail amounting to P24,000 for his temporary liberty.
