DEPARTMENT of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II is looking into the possibility of placing the five alleged "narco-generals" identified by President Rodrigo Duterte on the look out bulletin.

According to Aguirre, the DOJ legal team is now on the process of identifying its legal actions against the two retired generals and three generals in active service who are alleged protectors of illegal drug syndicates.

The said generals were identified as former Generals Marcelo Garbo Jr. and Vicente Loot and the three others who are still active in service are generals Bernardo Diaz, Edgardo Tinio, and Joel Pagdilao.

Aguirre said that once the legal team has decided, he will assign the Bureau of Immigration (BI) to implement its orders.

Once the DOJ releases a look out bulletin, the BI will monitor the generals. As of now, there is still no case filed against the five.

During his speech at Philippine Air Force's (PAF) 69th anniversary in Clark, Pampanga, President Duterte named the five officials involved in the drug-trade.

He said Garbo was a "protector of drug syndicates," while he identified Loot, Diaz, Tinio, and Pagdilao to be involved in illegal drugs.

Loot, the new mayor of Daanbantayan town in Cebu, and Garbo are retired generals. Diaz was the director of the Police Regional Office 6, Tinio was director of the Quezon City Police District Office (QCPD), and Pagdilao was the director of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO)

Duterte ordered the three generals to be relieved from their position. (Sunnex)
